Australian Maritime College – University of Tasmania

The Australian Maritime College (AMC) is part of the University of Tasmania – the National Institute for Maritime Education, Training and Research. AMC is one of the seven founding members of the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU), which represents five continents.

Australian Maritime Safety Authority

AMSA has key statutory responsibilities for maritime activities including vessel and seafarer safety, navigation services, search and rescue, marine environmental response and international engagement and regional capacity building.

Australian Transport Safety Bureau

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is Australia’s national transport safety investigator. The ATSB’s function is to improve safety and public confidence in the aviation, marine and rail modes of transport.

Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies

The Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) pursues multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary work to advance understanding of temperate marine, Southern Ocean, and Antarctic environments. IMAS is a centre for both research and education.

The Mesothelioma Centre is an advocacy group that promotes awareness on mesothelioma and asbestos exposure. Its website features the most comprehensive guide to mesothelioma, including general information about the disease and a list of treatment centres and top doctors across the nation.

Murdoch University

Murdoch University is a research-led university with a reputation for world class research in select areas of knowledge, including fisheries and marine biology. At Murdoch, researchers engage with significant social and scientific challenges including climate change, food security and production, infectious diseases, mental health, politics and governance – past and present.

WorkSafe WA

Worksafe WA is a division of the Western Australian Department of Commerce and deals with matters relating to occupational health and safety in the workplace.
