WAFIC, the peak industry body representing WA’s commercial fishing, pearling and aquaculture sectors, is celebrating its golden jubilee.
Join fellow friends, family and industry colleagues for this cocktail-style evening as we reflect on the history of these industries – from where it all began to the people that have played a role.
The East Fremantle Yacht Club (EFYC) will transform into a magical setting on 29 November 2018 for a WA seafood feast prepared by renown chef, Don Hancey, in collaboration with EFYC head chef David Yang.
The evening is inspired by WAFIC’s seafood trail – and will include food stations with the likes of:
- Broome pearl meat ceviche
- Webber slow roasted Fremantle octopus
- Peel smoked mullet and;
- Paella with lesser known local fish species
This selection is only the beginning of what is on offer! Our menu will also be paired with a selection of top Western Australian wines and drinks.
From door prizes, entertainment and a video celebrating WAFIC’s 50-year history, this is the seafood event of the year – guaranteed to not disappoint.
You are encouraged to relax and enjoy the best of what WA seafood and beverages have to offer, whilst reminiscing with friends and family in a beautiful setting overlooking our swan river.
