Microwaving Seafood
Tips
- Good to use fish on the bone – either whole small gutted and gilled fish or fish wings
- Score the flesh whole fish or thick fillets, for more even cooking.
- Arrange in fillets in single layer.
- Cover with plate
- Re-arrange during cooking to ensure even cooking
- The seafood can be brushed with butter, small amount of liquid like milk, wine, seasoning, lemon juice and water or court bouillon.
- Another suggestion is milk, as per video. Add pepper and salt, bay leaf, some butter. Can also add onions, garlic, lemon grass, and chilli!

Remove the eyes of whole fish. They may explode during cooking.

Remember this is a guide only. Keep watch. Times will vary depending
on size, thickness, and quantity being cooked. Seafood is cooked when
it flakes easily, has lost has just lost the translucent look and
springs back when touched.
