Sean Sloan named as new FRDC Managing Director
The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) has appointed Sean Sloan as the organisation’s new managing director following the retirement of Patrick Hone who held the role for 21 years.
Sean will join FRDC on 25August 2025 from his role as Deputy Secretary for the Fisheries and Forestry with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
Sean has previously worked across a broad range of fishing and aquaculture positions in Commonwealth and State Governments of Australia, as well as the Pacific Islands.
