Our Team

  • Manue Daniels

    Interim CEO

    Manue is an experienced director and longtime fishing industry advocate who has taken a leave of absence from the Board to step into the role of Interim CEO at WAFIC.

    Manue brings more than 17 years of experience in the commercial fishing industry, with deep roots in the Esperance region and extensive knowledge of the industry across Western Australia.

    She was recognised as Young Achiever of the Year at the WA Seafood Industry Awards.

    A passionate advocate for commercial fishing, Manue has held leadership roles including Vice President of the Esperance Professional Fishermen’s Association and Vice Chair of Southern Seafood Producers WA. She is also a member of Women in Seafood Australia.

  • Craig Sinclair

    Communications Lead

    Craig joins WAFIC’s communication unit after several years with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, where he managed communications for projects including the shark response strategy, the Sea Sense campaign and Mid West Aquaculture Development Zone.

  • Angela Oei

    Executive Assistant

    Angela boasts a 20-year track record of providing strategic and operational support to C-suite executives, along with an ability to optimise office efficiency, anticipate needs and drive organisational success.

    In her role as Executive Assistant, Angela provides a broad range of support for the WAFIC team, with a particular focus on the Chief Executive Officer and the Board.

  • Rachel Wong

    Digital Communications Officer

    Rachel brings creative digital strategy and content creation to WAFIC. An experienced Art Director and Content Creator with a background in creative advertising, she’s worked for the biggest agencies and production houses in Perth.

  • Rob Hoschke

    Research and Policy Officer

    Rob joined WAFIC in May 2026 following submission of his PhD at the University of Western Australia. His research looked at how fisheries can be managed more sustainably by better connecting fishers’ knowledge, scientific research, and historical context with government policy. This work involved engagement with professional fishers and researchers across a range of Western Australian fisheries, and historical analysis of Perth recreational fisheries documenting 100 years of growth. Rob’s research experience has given him a deep understanding of fisheries science and management, and the governance challenges facing the fishing industry.

  • Juvenna Tassone

    Industry Liaison Officer

    Prior to joining WAFIC, Juvenna was an Executive Officer within the Industry Consultation Unit, working closely with Western Australia commercial fishing industry and the Department to support effective consultation and engagement. Over the past two years, she has built strong relationships across Industry and developed a broad understanding of the issues, perspectives and opportunities that are important to Industry stakeholders.

     Juvenna holds a degree in Coastal and Marine Science and previous experience in abalone aquaculture across husbandry and hatchery operations. She is passionate about supporting a sustainable, resilient and thriving future for WA’s commercial fishing industry.
