AMSA calls for volunteers. It’s your chance to help.
A few times a year, AMSA invites people to volunteer to test new or improved products, services and content. Best of all, the feedback you provide helps to deliver a better service to all.
Each round of research is different such as:
Surveys
Online questionnaires where participants answer small sets of questions. Surveys can be completed in your own time and typically take 1-10mins.
Interviews
A researcher or two will meet with a participant to discuss in depth what the participant thinks about the topic in question. These can be in person, or virtual using tools like Teams or Zoom. These sessions are scheduled for a time and date suitable for the participant and typically run for 30-60mins.
Activities
A researcher or two will meet with a participant who will complete tasks or activities using a new product or prototype. These can be in person, or virtual using tools like Teams or Zoom. These sessions are scheduled for a time and date suitable for the participant and typically run for 30-60mins.
Workshops
A small team will facilitate a workshop with a group of participants, which might include a number of activities. Most often these will be in person. These sessions are scheduled for a set time and date and typically run for 2-6hours.
In-person sessions
Typically completed at an AMSA office.
Online sessions
A computer and a steady internet connection is required to participate.
Joining the user research list doesn’t commit you to anything. You can accept or decline sessions based on your interest and availability at the time.
