Call for WAFIC Board member nominations

The WA Fishing Industry Council Board is calling for nominations from its membership for its Board of Management.

There will be two positions for Directors to be elected at the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 26 November 2025.

The following WAFIC Directors terms are expiring:

  • James Brown – Industry Representative
  • Kym Coffey – Industry Representative

Note that only WAFIC members are eligible for Board nomination.

For the good order of a professionally managed body, where possible members should be provided with the opportunity to assess and evaluate candidates in advance. As such, a bio of nominees will be circulated with the opening of voting.

For the 2025 AGM online voting will be available for nominees received prior to the AGM. If not enough nominations are received to fill all positions, the Chair may elect to call for nominations from the floor. In this event full financial Members will be asked to cast a vote at the AGM (only if they have not already elected to vote online).

The Details of the Candidates will be circulated on 12 November 2025 to Members with the Notice of the AGM.
