Discounted Board Member training opportunity
The WAFIC Board will be undertaking a professional development course to ensure the directors are up-to-date with the duties and responsibilities for sitting on a Board, as well as having a current knowledge of good governance applicable to not-for-profit organisations.
The one-day intensive course will be facilitated by the Australian Institute of Company Directors on 20 August 2025.
As part of the booking, WAFIC has made available an additional 10 places for members who are interested in building their Board director skillset. The places can be booked at a discounted rate of $900+GST per person.

The course is designed for people who have not been a director, who have limited experience on a board, or for others who have been directors but have not undertaken any professional development. It aims to provide course participants with the basic building blocks of good governance.

Through understanding a director’s role in establishing and exercising effective governance practices, you will develop a solid foundation from which to make more effective decisions that will minimise your personal risk and maximise your contribution.
