Industry Message Regarding Economic Response
Please find attached today’s Federal Government media release along with a supporting document that outlines the latest round of economic response measures.
The document provides a more detailed breakdown of how this next round of stimulus will work, including some timelines to assist Australians during the ongoing Coronavirus situation.
Pages four through six covers specific business initiatives.
WAFIC is supporting and working closely with our National body – Seafood Industry Australia – for a stronger and more direct national approach to assist our industry as a part of the essential agribusiness sector which is responsible for supplying food to our country and international markets.
The package that WAFIC and industry are requesting is notably absent from this announcement, so that battle will continue until we get support from Ministers Littleproud and Duniam.
