The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 and Regulations have been in place for a long time and commercial fishers have had two sets of legislation when it comes to safety on the vessel administered by AMSA and Worksafe WA.
Now the old WHS Act (1984) has been replaced by the new WHS Act 2020. There are a few key differences between the old and the new WHS Act and Regulations.
