With mental health now a major issue across WA’s regional fishing communities, WAFIC has secured funding to re-launch the Stay Afloat mental health team so they can work with our local fishers and families.
Under the agreement, the Stay Afloat team will attend fishing local events and industry meetings to meet with impacted fishers and direct support as needed.
The service is expected to relaunch on 1 April 2026.
