The evening will be a wonderful experience as these top chefs collaborate to bring guests seafood treats such as lightly smoked peel mullet over baksia with a dusting of lemon myrtle and blue swimmer crab and cheese balls.

Josh Catalano said that he is looking forward  to preparing a sumptuous feast with some of the best WA sourced seafood ingredients.

“I have pretty much been to every single WAFIC Awards night not only are the awards exciting I also get to showcase some amazing WA seafood and cook food for everyone in the industry.

“The most exciting part for me is cooking for people than live and breathe WA seafood, I mean I love cooking for anyone, but when seafood is someones livelihood, it makes it that little bit more special.

“Events like these are important because the seafood industry here in WA is so tough and competitive, and is always challenged by cheaper imported products. That is why it needs so much support and promotion. When people think about what protein defines WA, it is always seafood, so we need to support and reward the people/companies that are doing the right things for the industry so we can make it a stronger future.”

With only days away, we hope seafood lovers across WA are counting down to the night.
