Share the seafood love!

We need your help – Let’s get our Seafood social networks working together to Share the Seafood Love!!!

COVID-19 is having a significant financial impact on the seafood industry – in effect from ocean to plate.

As members of the Western Australian seafood community we need to work together, let the community know where they can buy seafood, stress the continuity of supply, where possible advise the status of seafood retailers and spread the (online) word about some of the great seafood deals available.

What to buy, how to buy, where to buy and when to buy, metropolitan and regional, retail, markets, back-of-boat.

Social media is an extremely effective and almost cost-free way to achieve our goal of sharing the seafood love, especially if we work across our combined social networks, using simple tools such as ‘likes’ and ’shares’.

We need your help! As soon as you have read this message PLEASE begin following other seafood-related groups and start tagging members in their post, sharing posts, copying posts from one form of social media to another. By doing this, we can all exponentially and quickly share these positive messages across our seafood groups and extend beyond that to the broader community.

Our combined reach across social media will touch many tens of thousands of potential seafood buyers, keeping people informed during these difficult times and also having a larger and broader audience to continue to engage with during the recovery phase.

WAFIC is also working across its media network to share these stories so we can generate mainstream broadcast news about our industry and the great seafood specials available, which is particularly important in these challenging times.

By working together as a united seafood industry, we are better equipped to drive our own survival and recovery through these challenging times.
